Drunk Driving National Enforcement Crackdown: August 16 – September 2, 2013


Did you know?

  • 46 percent of all motorcyclists killed in crashes were
    using alcohol.
  • One fourth of all fatal alcohol-related motorcycle crashes involve motorcyclists running off the road, overturning, or falling from the motorcycle rather than striking another object.
  • During the Labor Day holiday in 2011, 138 people were killed nationwide in crashes involving drivers or motorcyclists whose blood alcohol concentrations (BAC) registered at least .08 or higher.  It is illegal in all 50 States, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico to drive dunk (having a BAC of .08 or higher).
